"To New Worlds Of Gods And Monsters"   Even though the Bride was in the movie less than 5 minutes, she is recognizeable even to this day. Almost everyone knows what she looks like. A true icon!  This is considered the best film of it's genere.  It  seamlessly connects to the original Frankenstein with the monster surviving the burning windmill and the good Dr. surviving the terrible hit he took from the windmills blade.  Between the monster and Dr. Pretorious, Dr. Frankenstein has no choice but to make a mate for the monster.  But sadly the bride doesn't take kindly to the monster.  In his words "she hate me,like others" and deciedes to kill them all but he spares Dr. Frankenstein and his wife.  This movie has  lot of great moments such as when Una O'Conner is going

thru the windmill ashes   thinking the monster is gone at last but to her surprise she comes face to face with him.  This movie was billed as hear the monster speak.  He was taught to speak by a blind hermit ( O.P. Heggie)  the monster had found a friend.  In one of the most touching scenes in the movie you actually see a tear coming from the monsters eye.  He was so happy and grateful to have a friend at last.  This didn't last long, 2 woodsman break in the cabin to warn the hermit, discover the monster, and begin to shoot and hunt him. (Interesting note: Look for a young John Carridine as one of the woodsman)  Another fine scene in the movie is Dr. Pretorious's collection of little people in glass jars.  Pay attention to the Henry the VIII little person, he is played by Charles Laughton(Elsa Lanchesters' real husband)  Elsa Lanchester gave a very believable performance (but very brief) as the bride.  She also had the role of Mary Shelly at the beginning of the film.  This was James Whales' last horror film.
