"Thanks for the bullitt" What a great closing line and if you hear it you are watching what I feel is one of Universals most underated films  "The Werewolf Of London" True it is a little slow moving but you must remember that this is the first film to deal with lycanthropy and in 1935 it must have seemed strange. It's about a botanist,Wilfred Glendon, that is on a quest to find a rare flower that only blooms in moonlight, the Marifasa Lupina. While in Tibet(where the flower is found) he is attacked by  a howling beast but somehow manages to survive. While back in London  where he studies the plant, he is visited by Dr. Yogami who is also interested in the plant for his own reasons. He tries to explain to Dr. Glendon that the recent murders are caused by werewolves. Dr. Glendon is not convinced until the next full moon! Henry Hull turns in a believeable perfmance as Dr. Glendon and Warner Oland(best known as Charlie Chan) is excellent as well. Trivia fact: The makeup Jack Pierce created for The Wolfman was actually supposed to be used in The Werewolf Of London but Henry Hull being older that Lon Chaney Jr. couldn't tolerate the long makeup sessions so Jack opted for a design that took less makeup but still be effective. Lucky for us Jack didn't disgard that original design.
